The Everyday Adventure: Picnics & Shooting Stars.

Tuesdays nights are for Jam Sessions.

That means we work on our Startup Camp homework, make business plans, set goals, and dream about the things we’ll make.

But we both knew this week needed to be different.

We packed a bag for dinner, even included glass bowls, and ate soup in the park. Picnic tables always remind of being a kid, and for the first time in a few days, I started to feel like myself again. We got up to leave only because I couldn’t stand the mosquitos anymore (he never gets bitten).

I've got this thing for fall nights. Sometimes, I don’t even want to go to sleep because the air blowing across my face through the window is just too heavenly. So, I let him spray me with Buggin’s and lay next to me on a blanket in the grass.

We’ve tried to catch meteor showers on several occasions and have never had luck, all the stars too hidden by clouds each time we go out. He even mentioned a few weeks ago that we needed to make a point to catch a meteor shower soon.

Guess what? That night, we saw more shooting stars than we’d ever seen.

And isn’t that just the way it goes sometimes? Sometimes plans need changed because life just wants to surprise you with something you’ve always wanted.

Magic happens when you let go.
