Miscellaneous: Life Lately.
Confession: I get into this habit of thinking I can only post content in this space that is overwhelmingly inspiring and moving. It's a hard standard to live up to, thinking every post has to be a long, emotion-filled story with an uplifting punch line at the end. But the words have been hard to come by. Probably because I put pressure on them. And probably because life has been moving in all directions.
But it's been too good not to share.
So here it is. A bit of Life Lately...
+ I went to Colorado and I came back engaged! It was simple and sweet and beautiful. I hope to write a series of posts about our story, because it's kind of a funny one. :)
+ Chris and I are currently taking StartUp Camp, a 12-month business course by Dale Partridge. We've made Tuesdays our Jam Session nights and I love the routine in that.
+ Speaking of which, I have TWO business ideas percolating in my brain. Anyone else? Let's be friends and hold each other accountable to MAKE IT HAPPEN.
+ I went to California for the Yellow Conference and it rocked my world. Not only did I get filled up by so many good people, but I shared the experience with my childhood friend, Shawna, which made it so much better.
+ I've started waking up at 6 am again! I've learned a few tricks to planning and setting myself up for success. I'm compiling all of my tricks into a post. Look for that soon. :)
+ My mom and I have always wanted to fix up an old house and guess what? WE ARE! We're calling it the Grace House and I'll get to live in it for a few months. More on that later! (I only have a picture of the back. But look at that cute back door!)
+ Stranger Things, anyone? I don't watch much TV, but this Netflix show has me all shades of addicted.
+ Last year, I wanted to participate in the Write 31 Days, a challenge to blog every day in October. Yesterday, in the middle of a used bookstore, 2 days before October, I decided to do it. More info on that coming tomorrow!
+ You probably know this, but I climbed a mountain. And it was crazy. And I just can't get over it.
+ My October is filling up with sessions and weddings and I can't tell you how excited I am to be out shooting again!
